Boaties win both ways with vessel maintenance and insurance bundled together

Australasia’s fastest growing advanced vessel management service has launched a crucial upgrade to their highly regarded standard programmes. From July 1st Boatsmart HQ will provide its clients with a seamless solution incorporating state of the art advanced vessel management bundled with a market-leading marine insurance package.

The operationally known as the Advanced Preventative Maintenance Package the new offering was developed in partnership with Crombie Lockwood and their Australasian underwriters, who recognised that BoatSmart HQ-managed vessels show a reduction in risk, claims and claim size.

“This is an industry first” said Paul Gemmell, Crombie Lockwood’s Marine Division Manager. “We have an underwriting strategy that is tied directly to the quality of the vessels’ risk management. It’s not generalised or banded, it’s specific to the Boatsmart HQ programme and our underwriters value that precision.”

By keeping vessels better maintained and out of harm’s way, the supplementary BoatSmart HQ insurance solution is also able to offer boat owners better terms with significantly lower rates than most comparable insurance packages available in New Zealand. In some cases, the reduction in insurance premiums is as much as 30 percent.

Officially launched on July 1st across New Zealand, the new package is available for marina and dry-stacked vessels up to $NZD10 million in value.
