Fridgetech is proud supplier of Frigonautica marine refrigerators in New Zealand, specialising in standard and custom installations for pleasure boats of every size, both power and sail.

Refrigeration specialist Frigonautica is an Italian manufacturer producing high-quality stainlesssteel refrigerators for marine, home and outdoor applications.

Frigonautica was born as a manufacturer of refrigerators for yachts, and to this day the company’s business remains structured and organised around marine applications. Its Vertical fridges and freezers, cockpit refrigerators, drawer-refrigerators and wine coolers can be customised to complement any vessel. The company works with some of the best and biggest yachting yards around the world, including CNB Group Beneteau, Royal Huissman, Heesen Yachts, Azimut Benetti, Baltic Yachts, Ferretti, Rossi Navi and Monte Carlo Yachts, to name just a few.

In New Zealand too, custom refrigeration solutions, whether drawer-fridges, top-opening fridges, conventional vertical door fridges, or bespoke fridges for confined spaces, are becoming popular with Kiwi boatbuilders and private owners, says Fridgetech CEO Greg Knight.

“WE ARE SEEING GROWING DEMAND FOR BOTH VITRIFRIGIO’S STANDARD AND BESPOKE REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS.”

“With their internally polished stainless-steel cabinets and doors, excellent thermal efficiency, and robust componentry, we are seeing growing demand for both standard and bespoke refrigeration systems,” says Knight.

Vertical door fridges come in eight standard sizes, to suit most marine applications; top-opening cockpit fridge-freezers come in three sizes; and drawer fridge freezers in five different sizes and configurations.

In addition, Frigonautica offer two standard wine cellar cabinets, along with any number of custom options for refrigerators, freezers, wine cellars, cool rooms, and cigar humidors. There is a Frigonautica solution for virtually every application.

The company’s ability to offer custom refrigeration solutions has been embraced by boatbuilders everywhere, including in New Zealand.

“There’s definitely been a swing towards custom fridges, particularly in high-end boats, and Frigonautica, with its custom design and build service, fits the bill perfectly.”

Fridgetech supplies and installs Frigonautica refrigeration solutions to New Zealand boatbuilders for new vessels and refits, as well as to private boat owners upgrading their current refrigeration systems. The company works closely with leading New Zealand boatbuilders like Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders, Weber Marine and others – and there’s a growing demand from the RV market.

Demand for wine chillers has been particularly strong, says Knight, with the FR90 proving a real winner with Kiwi customers. Fridgetech has good stocks of this model available, along with an extensive range of other Frigonautica products.
