On Saturday, Barcelona is going to put on a great day of AC37 action.
The wind gusts can get up around 20 knots for most of the racing session, this is not an issue as racing will go ahead up to 24 knots – we have a buffer. The most of the racing day will be around 10 knots.
The temperature is up there at 28° – it will be a warm day but a bit of cloud cover will also keep the direct sun off the sea.
The sea will be a wee bit choppy with a 70cm swell, at 5-second intervals. The swell size is up on previous days but the interval is a little longer than we have seen recently — together it’s not too worrying but for keeping a side-eye on.
Overall, Saturday looks like a good sailing day, we will see boats being tested in the stronger wind, and crew being tested by a boat under more load.
