Boating New Zealand inspires more boating enthusiasts than any other boating title in New Zealand.

Boating New Zealand

Where we began

Founded in 1986, it is part of the fabric of the boating scene. The magazine brings to its readers reviews of new boats, coverage of technical innovations, boat maintenance advice and cruising adventure stories.

1986 First Edition of Boating New Zealan

Boating New Zealand covers small powerboats, launches and yachts, particularly new boats released on the market and developments on new technology such as electronics, power systems and engines.

We run offshore cruising stories, in a variety of locations and sometimes covering hazards survived at sea. Our experienced columnists share their expertise on engines, do-it-yourself jobs on board, fishing, diving and vintage boats. We also keep our readers abreast of developments in major boating events such as the America's Cup, navigation technology and the boating industry. Boating New Zealand magazine is the largest circulation boating magazine for general readership.
