Iliad stars at SCIBS
The recent 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) has firmly cemented ILIAD Catamarans' position as a major new presence on the world's power catamaran market.
Six contracts were signed at the show for models across the shipyard's range, with additional orders finalised after the event.
These included three ILIAD 50s, one of the forthcoming ILIAD 50 S models, an ILIAD 60, and an ILIAD 70.
There was also strong interest in the new ILIAD 80, which has just been unveiled. The new model was specifically designed in response to the demand for larger, live-aboard power catamarans.
"It's immensely satisfying to see our goal of creating long-range, luxurious, spacious and customisable power catamarans effectively meeting the needs of so many clients,” said ILIAD Catamarans CEO Mark Elkington.
Boat Show sales for Smuggler Marine
Demand for Smuggler Marine’s range of amphibious boats and inflatable RIBs surged during and after the highly successful Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.
In one of its most successful shows ever, Smuggler Marine took seven orders for a wide range of models.
With confirmed sales from the boat show, Smuggler currently has 10 Strata 800 amphibious models on order, as well as over a dozen other RIB models between five and seven metres long.
“The boat show was fantastic for us, with record levels of enquiry and confirmed sales. We’re experiencing significant sales growth, not only in our larger amphibious boat range, but across the range,” says Smuggler Marine Managing Director, David Pringle, adding that sales for amphibious Smugglers currently outnumber sales of non-amphibious RIBs by three to one.
With surging sales growth, Smuggler Marine is looking to bolster production at its Henderson facility.
