SEALEGS EXPANDS AGAIN
SEALEGS INTERNATIONAL Limited has just expanded into another new factory on Auckland’s North Shore.
The new 2,800 square metre factory adds to the three other existing premises Sealegs' already has in Parkhead Place, Rosedale giving a total of 10,000 square metres of manufacturing space for Sealegs workforce of more than 80 full-time staff.
The new factory allows all the Sealegs development, manufacturing and assembly to be completed in one location. This also provides a single destination to view all the different production stages providing an opportunity for Sealegs customers to become involved in the purchasing and production process of their new amphibious boats.
SALTERNS FOR SEALEGS
SEALEGS INTERNATIONAL has announced its dealer partner of the year for 2021. In a zoom call Sealegs CEO David McKee Wright declared Salterns Brokerage the global winner for 2021.
Salterns is situated in Poole Harbor, Dorset and provides a full range of services to over 150 Sealegs customers in the UK and Ireland. They recently delivered Bear Grylls his third Sealegs and the 1500th boat for Sealegs. Salterns have grown sales over 150% in the last 12 months.

Sealegs and Salterns are planning the commercial release of the Sealegs electric range in the UK, in time for the Southampton Boat Show. Salterns have demonstrated the demand for Sealegs in the UK, and the addition of the Sealegs electric amphibious craft will further amplify their success.
SEALEGS INTERNATIONAL new faces
Sealegs International has appointed Jack Ewen as Global Sales Manager and Fares Hamed as Global Service Manager.
Jack built his experience and skills at Sealegs on the back of a Bachelor of Business degree, working his way up from a junior sales rep to NZ Sales Manager.
CEO David McKee Wright says “Jack’s early success at Sealegs demonstrated his passion for people our products. I’ve known him since he was just seven and even then he loved engaging with people about Sealegs.”
Jack is very much looking forward to his new role. “I’m privileged to work with a very strong and experienced team – I’m certain my knowledge of the people and processes at Head Office will enable me to do in my new role what I love most – help others.”
Fares Hamed – the newly appointed Global Service Manager – started with the company six years ago. Based at Head Office in Auckland, Fares worked his way across departments, starting with pre-production and warehousing, before taking a more senior role as Parts Manager.
Taking over the after-sales department has been his goal for years. “I enjoy working with Sealegs’ customers, providing them with the amphibious difference, and always striving to maintain the sense of joy owning a Sealegs provides.”
“Fares has a wealth of knowledge about our products and understands Sealegs’ sector of the marine industry. He always provides excellent service to our customers,” says McKee-Wright.
