At 320 metres, it dwarfs most other vessels, housing 132 private residences and 22 guest suites. Each home aboard ULYSSIA offers expansive sea views and world-class amenities that rival the finest luxury resorts. Speaking about the project, Binder, who is also the founder and chairman of ULYSSIA Residences AG, said: “The vision is that of a unique lifestyle on a residential yacht that travels the world. This is floating real estate. But it’s much more than that. It’s about the lifestyle that we’re offering, the possibility to discover the world without leaving home.”

With ULYSSIA, we are creating a new typology of living because over 70% of the world is water. There is great potential to live without limits on water,” says Muzio.

Hybrid propulsion systems, incorporating methanol as the primary fuel source and biofuels where available, will power the yacht. The yacht’s construction will employ energy recovery systems and advanced hull designs to maximise efficiency. According to its builder, Meyer Werft, ULYSSIA will not only be a marvel of luxury but also an example of how large-scale vessels can operate sustainably.
Espen Øino, the project’s lead designer, emphasised the integration of these technologies: “We are creating something unprecedented in both scale and sustainability. Every detail has been considered, from the yacht’s propulsion to its environmental impact. This is the future of yachting.”
