The Auckland Boat Show gets underway on March 14.

A key event in 2024’s inaugural Moana Auckland – New Zealand’s Ocean Festival, the Auckland Boat Show celebrates the city’s deep connection with the water through a wide range of luxury motor yachts, sailing yachts, RIBs and trailerboats, including numerous new releases.

Haines Hunter’s recent 635 Hardtop release will be on show.

One of the things that makes the Auckland Boat Show special is the chance to experience vessels on the water, including taking sea trials.
On land, exhibitors comprise a range of brands across the industry, including engines, commercial, electrical and paint and antifoul.
Heading up this year’s new releases are Italian yacht brand Sessa Marine, Haines Hunter’s recently released SP635, three new Princess Yachts models, a first look at the Finnish all-seasons Sargo boat range, Yamaha’ new F350 V6 outboard and Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilder’s new 18m luxury launch Zephira.

Sargo Boats makes its NZ debut.

What an Opportunity!

A special attraction this year is the fully refurbished Salthouse 57 Opportunity lll.
Built by Salthouse in 2008 and featured on the cover of the March 2008 issue of Boating NZ, Opportunity lll has been completely updated and refurbished as part of a comprehensive refit by Weber Marine and dozens of sub-contractors. Angus Small, who was working for Salthouse at the time and intimately involved in the original build, project-managed the refit and Small’s company also did all the electrical installation work.
Opportunity lll can be viewed on the VHHL visitor berth close to the Extreme Boats lines and Legacy Marine’s L70 Paragon. The refit story will feature in Boating NZ’s April edition.
