Kawau Island’s Bon Accord Harbour lit up with dozens of vessels, power and sail, to celebrate 36° Brokers’ Squadron Weekend.

This year 150 years of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron was celebrated in true style.

Starting Friday February 5, the 36° Brokers Commodore’s Cup saw racers go head-to-head on their way up to Kawau Island. The night race ended in beautiful Bon Accord Harbour with Lidgard House lit up in the background.

Saturday’s racing around Kawau Island enjoyed 10 to 15-knot conditions with a glamour downwind sail past Flat Rock. After racing, party revellers got together for an evening of live music, prize giving, cannon fire, fun and games.

36 Degrees Brokers is proud to support the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron Commodore’s Cup and thrilled to see this iconic event grow year on year.
