Capable of lifting 560 tonnes, New Zealand’s second-biggest marine travel lift is now in business at Oceania Marine’s South Shipyard at Port Whangārei.

The travelift was officially launched with a cutting of the ribbon by Mayor of Whangārei Vince Cocurullo, Oceania MD Martin Gleeson, Head of Kanoa (Regional Economic Development & Investment Fund) Robert Pigou, local MP Emily Henderson, and NZ Marine Executive Director Peter Busfield.

The new travel lift complements Oceania Marine’s existing 100-tonne machine, providing cost efficient, flexible haul-out options for recreational and commercial operators — and adding to Oceania Marine’s reputation as ‘the complete superyacht refit service.’.

This event also marked the opening of Oceania Marine’s Business Hub and the launch of the Oceania Yacht Agency.
