Italian boatbuilder Amer Yachts has installed Volvo Penta Easy Connect in its 94-foot superyacht, D’aria, the largest yacht to be connected to the app so far.

Volvo Penta Easy Connect provides users with data related to the engine, boat and routes taken – sent directly to their smartphone or tablet – which can be viewed onboard in real-time or reviewed back on land. There have been several updates since its iOS launch in 2018, including support for Android devices, D1 and D2 engines.

D’aria, the fourth Amer 94 off the line, is the first superyacht with Easy Connect. D’aria won the Environment Initiative at IBI METSTRADE, held in Amsterdam in November 2018. Built from sustainable materials where possible, Volvo Penta Inboard Performance System (IPS) technology has also made the superyacht one of the most fuel-efficient. Incorporating Volvo Penta Easy Connect into such a forward-thinking design makes sense.

“Easy Connect is a very welcome tool to complete the integrated Volvo Penta system that makes life on board the 94 easy and simple,” says Barbara Amerio, owner of Amer Yachts.

The Amer 94 was exhibited at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
