ZHIK’S NEW Elite Shorts are high performance technical shorts for sailors who spend long hours afloat or who prefer wearing shorts spring to autumn for as long as the conditions allow.
These water-resistant shorts are made with a four-way high stretch fabric that moves with you in every direction. The fabric has integrated UPF 50+ and is coated with Zhik’s environmentally conscious XWR™ fluorocarbon-free (PFC-free) durable water repellent coating, protecting you from ultra violet rays, wind and spray.
With high stretch, abrasion-resistant Aramid composite material on the seat and crotch panel the Elite Shorts provide protection against wear and tear and allows unrestricted movement when hiked out, seated or moving on deck. The fabric is rated to ISO 12947-2:2016 at over 110k cycles which means the fabric provides more than double the abrasion resistance that is the suitable standard for hard wearing commercial applications.
Shaped with a high back panel to protect from gapping and cold around the lower back, the integrated elastic waist gives as you bend and ensures a consistent snug and comfortable fit.
The front of the legs is shaped lower allowing extra protection from sun and spray to the thighs, which is especially helpful when hiking. The legs have a tapered ‘race fit’ reducing bulk and there’s a zipped thigh pocket for secure stowage.
