This year’s Auckland Boat Show in October will feature luxury launches and marine innovation.

The latest launches from Riviera, Riva, Lagoon, Prestige and more will vie for attention with amphibious vessels and the latest component technology at this year’s Auckland Boat Show.

Since the show’s first edition in 1998, it has become a focal point for new, innovative and industry-leading products from its position on Auckland’s waterfront. This year’s show, which will run from a new location at Jellicoe Harbour, previously the America’s Cup team bases, will have a bumper range of exciting new products when it lands on October 7.

Aphrodite is protected from marine fouling by Coppercoat.

The 800 delivers a comfortable and completely dry ride, with an added bonus of a separate forward lounge area for socialising, accessed by wide walk-platforms either side of the cabin.

Coppercoat will bring its multi-season antifoul coatings to the show. These offer full efficacy against biofouling for 10 or more years, proven in over 80,000 applications world-wide. Supplied in New Zealand by Coppercoat Pacific, it’s solvent-free, biocide-free and is non-eroding (non-ablative). Acknowledged as the most environmentally responsible antifoul coating available in the world, the product’s two-part epoxy composition delivers a high- performance, extremely durable, impermeable surface, providing hull protection unavailable from any other antifoul product.

Application is uncomplicated and fast – on new GRP hulls, Coppercoat is applied directly, eliminating the costs of multiple coatings required for ablative or foul-release products.

On show for the first time in New Zealand, Orakei Marine will display the striking Lagoon 50. Set to appeal to owners looking for a large, seaworthy vessel with generous volume, new generation rigging means her operation is just as appealing as her aesthetics. Available in three-, four-, or six-cabin configurations, there’s scope to craft your own vessel and a flybridge with two secure accesses, a large cockpit, modular dining and second foredeck cockpit give plenty of room to make the most of your time onboard. Joining it for the first time on show with Orakei is the Prestige 420S – refined at 42ft (12.8m) long, with an intelligent layout, large opening sunroof, and single-level flooring.
